Transit IP-telephony module

This module provides batch transmission of voice messages by IP protocol (Voice over IP, VoIP), which is used in different applications: from internal office communications to trunk and long-distance communications services.

In second situation, there can be several operator-partners of VoIP and PSTN services, and the system can use access servers with voice transmission ports and other equipment. To handle such situations and provide interactions with this equipment, you need the transit IP telephony module, which is designed to account for the voice traffic and mutual financial relations upon the traffic transmission.

Transit voice traffic goes between different VoIP operators. The cost of inbound voice traffic represents the liabilities of partners and can be used to draw invoices for payment and mutual settlement of accounts. The cost of outbound voice traffic represents the sending operator's liabilities.

The information on transit voice traffic characterizes duration of telephone calls and is collected through the RADIUS protocol. The system can account for the traffic of two types:

• inbound and transmitted over IP;
• inbound over IP but transmitted to PSTN networks (POTS legs), or vice versa.

This module allows collecting the statistics on the details of calls: Average Success Rate (ASR), Average Call Duration (ACD).
