Advanced billing features in B&CC Bill-Master, version 4.1

Upon successful upgrade of B&CC Bill-Master, the following advanced features have been developed: customizable scope of client information, web interface localization (ready for foreign language support), setting reference values of AV pairs, etc.

Customizable scope of client information

Now you can store arbitrary client information in database instead of preset data. The 'sys' administrator can specify new data fields dynamically created in a database. These fields are also displayed in dialog windows (user card).

Web interface localization capability

The web interfaces of administrator, operator and clients (personal user area) can easily be translated into different languages. To make it possible, special template files containing interface elements and system messages are created and set up. You can have simultaneous access to Bill-Master in different languages.

CDR packet aggregation

The mechanism of CDR packet aggregation has been improved. Now you can specify arbitrary periods of aggregation, in minutes. You can also aggregate the information on VPN traffic and duration of telephone (PSTN) calls.

Flexible identification of PSTN users

To identify (authenticate) PSTN users, the complex logical expressions are applied, - the so-called 'call direction conditions'.

MS-CHAP v.2 protocol support

Now the system supports MS-CHAP v.2 protocol and encryption method.

Setting reference values of AV pairs

Now you can set up the reference values to compare to AV pairs of received RADIUS packets. As a result of comparison, the types of telecommunication services, as well as 'Domain' and 'Access point' objects, are detected.

Printable document setup

Previous versions of B&CC Bill-Master generated printable documents by internal procedures according to strictly preset algorithms. You could only change the document layout by making changes to the source code of those procedures. In this new version you can generate documents based on templates which can be created and edited by users.

Logical status change history

The logical statuses of 'Service' objects show whether user can access services, or the access is blocked. In case of exhausted balance on personal accounts, the system automatically sets blocking statuses; and when a payment is made to account - the system sets unblocking statuses. The history of logical status changes is stored in a database, and users can view it in web interface.

"Message Dispatcher" subsystem added

This is an auxiliary daemon program that marshals the information exchange between different Bill-Master subsystems.
